The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd - The Flock

Our church, of course, is about and for the wonderful people that make up our community. This page features them at their best in sharing fellowship with each other at the functions that make up the social life of our vibrant church community.

January 1st, 2007  - John and Nannette Musgrave opened their home to celebrate with the congregation a New Year and new beginnings at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

January 14th, 2007  - The St. Louis area was reeling from the effects of a severe ice storm. The area immediately around the sanctuary was hard hit ... substantial tree damage and power outage to the sanctuary iteslf. Thanks to miraculous efforts by Herb Strain, the Junior Warden, and the Rev. Musgrave, the fellowship hall was rendered habitable using space heaters and candles, and a large attendence of parishioners attended a “roughing-it” Eucharist in the fellowship hall.

February 15th, 2007  - The congregation of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd formally and joyously welcomed the Rev. John B. Musgrave as its new priest, and renewed its vows of baptism in a new liturgy - “The Renewal of Ministry with the Welcoming of A New Priest”.   The service was presided over by The Rt. Rev. George Wayne Smith - Bishop of Missouri, and the sermon was given by The Rev. J. Scott Mayer, Rector of Church of the Heavenly Rest, Abilene, Texas.   Also in attendance were numerous members of the clergy community to honor John.
